Your comprehensive Kitchen Design Consultation Policy

Booking Your Consultation

All design consultations—virtual or in-person—require advance booking. You secure your appointment by paying the consultation fee, and this fee is non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.

Free Phone Consultation (First Step)

Our free over-the-phone kitchen consultation offers a strong first step in planning your remodel. You can share your vision, ask questions, and receive expert insights before committing to any design work. To make the call as productive as possible, please send photos of your current kitchen along with any sketches or notes. These materials help us understand your layout, challenges, and style preferences so we can give you meaningful guidance from the start.

What We Cover During Your Consultation

During the consultation, we’ll explore layout ideas, cabinetry options, countertop materials, appliance placement, and overall design direction. We’ll help you identify what works, what doesn’t, and how to create a kitchen that looks beautiful and functions seamlessly in your daily life.

Moving Forward With the Design Process

If you like the direction of the discussion and want to move forward, a design fee will be required. This fee is based on your project’s size and complexity and will be clearly outlined ahead of time—no surprises. After you approve the fee, we schedule an in-home site visit to walk the space together, review ideas in detail, and take accurate measurements. The full design fee will be credited toward your cabinetry purchase.

Accurate Measurements & Optional Standalone Service

Precise measurements play a crucial role in successful kitchen design, and the design fee includes a full on-site measure. If you only need measurements without design services, our partner, Home Measure Service, can provide a standalone measurement. Their detailed floor plans and exact dimensions help keep your cabinetry, appliances, and contractor estimates accurate and error-free.

A Smooth, Guided Planning Experience

From your first phone call to your final plans, we guide you through each step to make the kitchen planning process smooth, clear, and stress-free.

Design & Project Policies
🗺️ 1. Measurement Policy (Home Measure Service)

For projects needing accurate dimensions, we partner with Home Measure Service to ensure precise and reliable measurements. All measurement services are billed separately and are non-refundable. After the site visit, you’ll receive detailed floor plans and as-built drawings intended for design and planning purposes only.
The full measurement fee will be credited toward your kitchen cabinetry purchase.

🖥️ 2. Design Deliverables

Design concepts, layouts, and recommendations are delivered digitally unless a different format is requested. Final design files are released after the full design fee is paid. Any revisions beyond the agreed scope of work may require an additional fee.

🪵 3. Cabinetry, Countertops & Material Selections

All product recommendations and finish selections are based on availability at the time of design. Throughout the design phase, we provide samples of cabinetry finishes, countertop materials, hardware, and other key selections so you can make confident and informed decisions.
Pricing for materials may change due to manufacturer adjustments, vendor increases, tariffs, or delivery surcharges. Product availability and lead times cannot be guaranteed until an order is officially placed.

🔧 4. Installer Recommendations

Kitchens by Frankie offers trusted installer referrals upon request. All installation work is contracted directly between the homeowner and the installer. We do not manage, supervise, or oversee any work performed by third-party contractors.

💵 Payments & Deposits

Payments for design services, measurements, and consultation fees are due when you book, unless we’ve agreed otherwise. Accepted payment methods include
Check, Cash, or Zelle.

🏗 Cabinetry Orders & Deposits

Cabinetry orders require a 75% deposit before production starts. Sometimes, a 2% discount is available if you pay in full up front, depending on the manufacturer.
All cabinetry orders are custom-made. For this reason, orders are final upon placement and are not eligible for cancellation or refunds.

✨ Design Fee Credit

Your design fee will be fully credited toward your kitchen cabinetry purchase when you order through Kitchens by Frankie.

💰 Balance Due

The remaining balance for your cabinetry is due when your order is delivered.

📝 Cabinetry Quotes

Cabinetry quotes are valid for 30 days unless the vendor notified us of a price increase before the quote date. Price changes may include tariffs, fuel fees, or delivery charges.

⏱ Project Timelines

While we aim to provide fast and accurate design services, project timelines may vary based on project size, client decision-making, revisions, vendor lead times, and installer scheduling. Throughout the entire process, we maintain clear and consistent communication to ensure you always know the status of your project.

📞 Keeping You Informed

We stay in touch every step of the way, making sure you know exactly what’s happening with your project—from design and measurements to final delivery.

6. Responsibility Notice

Kitchens by Frankie provides design guidance, detailed plans, and product recommendations to support a smooth and successful renovation. However, all homeowners and their contractors are responsible for verifying design drawings, site conditions, and all final field measurements prior to ordering or installing any materials. Final drawings and plans must be reviewed, approved, and signed by the homeowner before any product orders are placed. This ensures accuracy, prevents errors, and keeps your project on track.
